Merve Gurakar, MD

Description

Hepatologist Merve Gurakar specializes in liver disease, and treats patients who have portal hypertension. Dr. Gurakar earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed internal medicine residency training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She remained at Johns Hopkins for fellowship training in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. Her research interests include portal hypertension, endo-hepatology and global health.
