He interned at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. He was a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He trained for ophthalmology at the University of Maryland Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and of the American College of Surgeons. He was president of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and is now a member of their executive board. He is an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an instructor at the Wilmer Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr Susel is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr Susel is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical School and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Wilmer Eye Institute where he teaches both ophthalmology residents and medical students. Dr. Susel is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland Hospital as well as an ophthalmology consultant on the staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Susel is Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Agnes Hospital and is on the active surgical staff at Howard County General Hospital. Dr. Susel practices comprehensive ophthalmology specializing in cataract, corneal disease, glaucoma, as well as plastic surgery around the eye. He is a consultant in refractive and cataract surgery having performed thousands of refractive and cataract surgery procedures. Dr. Susel and his wife, Carolyn Pass, M.D. received the distinguished service award for outstanding service to the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association in 2011.

Wexler, M.D. is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and National Board of Medical Examiners, the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a clinical instructor at the Wilmer Eye Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital and on the staff of several area hospitals and surgery centers. He is Ophthalmology Chief at Howard County General Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine. His specialties include cataract and glaucoma surgery, eyelid surgery, and laser surgery of the eyes. Dr. Wexler’s special interest is Laser Vision Correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. His is an expert in difficult refractive errors and has performed thousands of refractive procedures. Dr. Wexler graduated with Distinction from Pennsylvania State University in 1982 with a B.S. in Microbiology. Dr. Wexler then received his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1986. He completed his internship at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C, followed by residency training in Ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore where he served as Chief Resident form 1989-1990. Following residency training, Dr. Wexler joined Physicians Eye Care and Laser Center. As an Ophthalmologist, Dr. Wexler continues to do research, teach, and serves as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. He has helped thousands of patients attain their visual goals with medical and surgical treatments for cataract, glaucoma, and Laser Vision Correction.

I strive to provide each patient with the absolute best care possible.” Dr. McRill was born and raised in Iowa and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in microbiology and a M.S. in immunobiology. She has years of experience in biomedical research with the Veterans Administration and the National Institutes of Health. After moving to Maryland with her husband, she graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Maryland with her M.D. degree. Her internship in internal medicine was completed at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. She was resident and chief resident in ophthalmology at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Penn State University. She is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who enjoys seeing everyone from children to elderly patients. Her surgical expertise includes cataracts, glaucoma, cosmetic and eyelid procedures. She is board certified in ophthalmology and is on staff at St. Agnes Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, and the Snowden River Surgery Center.

Warden, M.D., is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is on the staff at St. Agnes Hospital and the Snowden River Surgery Center. Her specialties include cataract surgery as well as surgery to correct astigmatism and presbyopia, glaucoma surgery, laser surgery for diabetic eye disease and glaucoma, and surgery of the eyelids. She has performed laser vision correction, and is able to evaluate and care for laser vision candidates. Dr. Warden graduated from the Univeristy of Maryland with a B.S. in Microbiology in 1986. She received her medical degree from the Univeristy of Maryland School of Medicine in 1991. She served her internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore and completed her Ophthalmology Residency training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident from 1994-1995, and has been in practice since 1995. She welcomes patients of all ages for comprehensive eye care. Dr. Warden resides in Howard County with her husband and daughter, where she has lived since 1989.

Jonathan Etter, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and he joined Physicians Eye Care in January, 2016. Dr. Etter completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Duke Eye Center and then did a fellowship in cornea and external disease at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, which is consistently rated the best eye hospital in the country. Since 2012, Dr. Etter has been on faculty at Krieger Eye Institute in Baltimore, where he has earned numerous awards including the Resident Teaching Award as well as the All-Star Champion of Care Award (a designation given to physicians who demonstrate the highest level of patient-centered care). Dr. Etter has established himself as an outstanding clinician and has advanced ophthalmic care through research. His innovative work has earned national recognition as he received the Ophthalmology Times Writers Award. He has also published in leading ophthalmology journals and presented his research at numerous national meetings. Dr. Etter specializes in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases. He performs advanced cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, secondary lens implantation, ocular surface surgery and laser refractive surgery. He is also a comprehensive ophthalmologist and performs general eye exams for diabetic eye disease, glasses needs, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome and other eye conditions.. In Dr. Etter’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin and two children, Elliott and Madeleine.
