Laurie previously worked at The Shopping Center Group from 2002-2007 in the Atlanta and Miami offices where she was responsible for leasing a portfolio of over 3 million square feet of retail space. Laurie specializes in site selection analysis, pre-leasing and consulting on ground-up development, and leasing mixed use and strip shopping centers. She has more than 12 years’ experience in retail leasing. Laurie takes a strategic approach to leasing by analyzing the competitive retail market, targeting national and local retailers and restaurants, and leveraging her extensive experience in negotiating leases with national credit tenants. She has successfully assisted in all phases of retail development, including layout design, proforma analysis, creating a viable tenant mix, marketing, and lease negotiations. Laurie has worked with institutional and regional owners such as RREEF, Kimco, AmCap, Taubman Properties, and Maryland Financial Investors. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and ChainLinks Leasing Council. Laurie received her B.S. in finance from Tulane University.

  Paul Weinberg

  Agent

  Paul joined Maryland Financial Investors, Inc./MFI Realty, LLC in September 2009 as a Leasing Associate after working as an Acquisition Analyst for Southside Investment Partners, LLC since January 2008. In his role as Acquisition Analyst, Paul was responsible for identifying real property for the purposes of acquiring and developing land for commercial retail use. Paul also assisted in representing national automotive retailers Firestone and Tires Plus in their efforts to secure locations in Maryland. Prior to joining Southside Investment Partners, Paul worked as a Production Supervisor for Ryan Homes from 2005-2007. Paul received his B.S. in Electronic Media & Film/Communications from Towson University and his M.S. in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Associated Real Estate Committee, the Associated Real Estate Industry Group and the Associated IMPACT Campaign.

  Andrew M. Kaye

  Before MFI, Andrew joined H & R Retail in 2012 and assisted in leasing a portfolio of over 4 million square feet of retail space throughout the greater Baltimore – Washington, DC metro market. Prior to joining H & R Retail as a leasing Associate, Andrew was a Commercial Loan Officer and Portfolio Manager for BB&T bank from 2008 until joining H & R Retail. Professional Affiliations & Recognitions Member, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Andrew specializes in landlord leasing and tenant representation. Andrew obtained his B.S. in Business Economics at the University of Arizona.

  Scott Cherry

  Scott Cherry joined Maryland Financial Investors as a property manager in 2010 with over five years of experience in residential and commercial management and development. Prior to joining the MFI team he was employed by H&H Rock Companies, a full service real estate development firm, based out of Howard County, Maryland. At MFI Scott manages fourteen retail shopping centers ranging from 5,000 to 150,000 square feet. He oversees tenant charges and payments; common area maintenance, tax, and insurance reconciliations; property service agreements; and cultivates relationships in order to enhance each property’s value. Scott also works on the asset management and development side of the business, overseeing both ground up and renovation projects within the portfolio. Scott is a 2006 graduate of the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelors of Science in Finance. He is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Maryland.

  Shelby Dorich

  Shelby joined MFI in 2014 as the Marketing Director. She has over eight years of marketing experience in commercial real estate and holds a Maryland real estate license. Prior to MFI, Shelby worked for Trout, Daniel & Associates and KLNB. She graduated from Towson University with a BS in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Gerontology. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

  Michael Albo

  Since joining MFI in 2007 Michael has been exposed to many aspects of commercial real estate including leasing, tenant representation, mortgage brokerage, construction, acquisitions, and dispositions. Michael is part of an asset management team which leases and manages more than 3 million square feet of commercial real estate in the Mid-Atlantic. Michael has also played an instrumental role in closing more than $100 million of commercial real estate loans for his clients. Prior to joining MFI, Michael spent more than four years in public accounting where he gained experience in tax consulting, litigation support, business valuation, forensic accounting and commercial real estate auditing. Michael also worked in the Internal Audit Department at Burger King Corporation in Miami. Michael graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2001 with a concentration in Economics and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2005. Michael is a licensed real estate salesperson in Maryland, Virginia, and DC.
